About

Where Academic Depth Meets Sector Practice

Oded Oron, PhD, bridges the gap between rigorous academic research and real-world policy and community work. With over 15 years of experience spanning universities, non-profit organizations, and government-adjacent roles across three countries, Oded brings a rare combination of scholarly credibility and on-the-ground expertise.

What Oded Does

Oded teaches at the University of Toronto, where he has developed and delivered 8 courses on Israeli society, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, immigration, and identity. He serves as Manager at JIAS Toronto — one of Canada's oldest Jewish immigrant settlement agencies — where he leads programs, builds partnerships, and shapes policy advocacy.

He consults, speaks publicly, and advises institutions on topics ranging from Canadian immigration policy to Middle Eastern affairs to DEI-informed curriculum design. His work is grounded in evidence, shaped by lived cross-cultural experience, and communicated with clarity.
